The Cleveland Rams will be taking part in a tournament against the Nash Central Bulldogs at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Nash Central took a loss in their last contest and will be looking to turn the tables on Cleveland, who comes in off a win.
Last Thursday, even if it wasn't a dominant performance, Cleveland beat Fuquay - Varina 49-44. The victory almost wasn't to be: the Rams were down 24-8 in the second quarter.

Cleveland's win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Nevaeh Cannon, who went 7 of 16 en route to 15 points and eight steals. Cannon has been hot, having posted two or more steals the last eight times she's played. Another player making a difference was Martina Paz-Aquino, who dropped a double-double on 11 points and 20 rebounds.
Cleveland smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 17 offensive boards. The team's really been improving in that area: they've now improved their offensive rebound total in three consecutive games.
Meanwhile, Nash Central came up short against Franklinton on Thursday and fell 40-32. The Bulldogs have struggled against the Red Rams recently, as the game was their seventh consecutive lost matchup.
Cleveland will have to contain Cameron Fate as she made an impact in Nash Central's last game. She almost dropped a double-double on ten points and nine blocks. With that strong performance, Fate is now averaging an impressive 2.7 blocks per game.
Nash Central's defeat dropped their record down to 4-2. As for Cleveland, they now have a winning record of 4-3.
Rebounding is likely to be a big factor in this contest: Cleveland has crashing the boards this season, having averaged 33.1 boards per game. However, it's not like Nash Central struggles in that department as they've been averaging 36.7 boards. With both teams battling to corral missed shots, we'll see if one team can grab an edge.
Cleveland came out on top in a nail-biter against Nash Central in their previous matchup back in December of 2023, sneaking past 48-45. Does Cleveland have another victory up their sleeve, or will Nash Central turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
