The South Sumter Raiders's homestand will continue as they prepare to take on the North Marion Colts at 7:30  p.m.  on Friday.
 Last Friday, South Sumter was within striking distance but couldn't close the gap  as they fell  26-20 to Hawthorne.
 Although South Sumter took the loss, they still got scores from  Bubba Boone and  Rashad Johnson. Another player making a difference was  Blaine Walker, who threw for 176 yards and a touchdown.
 Meanwhile, North Marion strolled past Crescent City with  points to spare two weeks ago, taking the game  18-2.
 South Sumter's loss dropped their record down to 1-4. As for North Marion, their win  ended  a  seven-game drought on the road  dating back to last season and  puts them at 3-1.
