The Villa Rica Wildcats's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Friday after their third straight defeat. They fell 58-50 to Mays. The loss unfortunately continues a disappointing trend for Villa Rica in their matchups with Mays: they've now lost four in a row.
Mays got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Jaqorian Wiggles out in front who scored eight points along with 15 rebounds and two steals. Wiggles hasn't dropped below 13 rebounds for three straight games. The team also got some help courtesy of Derron Lindsey ii, who scored 16 points.
Villa Rica has not been sharp recently as the team has lost nine of their last ten contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 8-17 record this season. As for Mays, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 17-7.
Villa Rica will be playing at home against Creekside at 7:30 p.m. on Monday. Creekside is coming into the game with 11 straight defeats on the road, meaning Villa Rica will have to defend against a squad hungry for a victory. Mays does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
