The loss unfortunately continues a disappointing trend for The Carmel School in their matchups with Richmond Christian: they've now lost five in a row.
Meanwhile, Cristo Rey was beaten by Veritas School 43-8 on Tuesday.
The Carmel School has been struggling recently as they've lost four of their last five games, which put a noticeable dent in their 2-7 record this season. As for Cristo Rey, they dropped their record down to 0-14 with that loss, which was their 15th straight on the road dating back to last season.
The Carmel School came out on top in a nail-biter against Cristo Rey when the teams last played back in January, sneaking past 38-36. The rematch might be a little tougher for The Carmel School since the squad won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
