The Sutter Huskies entered their tilt with the Center Cougars with three consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with four. Sutter came out on top against the Cougars by a score of 64-52 on Wednesday. For Sutter, this counts as revenge for the 48-47 defeat the Cougars walked away with the last time they faced one another back in January.
Sutter had a senior duo take command as Jagger Beck dropped a double-double on 19 points and 13 rebounds and Naseem Bhatti scored 21 points. Beck has been hot recently, having posted eight or more rebounds the last three times he's played. Another player making a difference was Gannon Deal, who scored nine points along with eight rebounds.
Several Cougars players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Terrill Reid, who scored 13 points along with three steals. Reid hasn't dropped below two steals for eight straight games. Chris Nisi was another key contributor, scoring 14 points along with five rebounds.
Sutter's victory bumped their record up to 15-9. As for Center, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 11-13.
Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Sutter's homestand continues as they prepare to take on the Bruins at 7:00 p.m. on February 2nd. Center will take on the Falcons at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
