On Friday, things could have been worse for Lamar, but they could have been a whole lot better as they took a 38-22 loss to the Vikings. Lamar has struggled against the Vikings recently, as their contest on Friday was their eighth consecutive lost matchup.
In what's become a running theme this season, Lake View gave their fans yet another huge win on Tuesday. They took their matchup on the road with ease, bagging a 46-16 win over Green Sea Floyds. With Lake View ahead 35-4 at the half, the contest was all but over already.
Gwendasia Page was her usual excellent self, dropping a double-double on 15 points and 12 steals. She is on a roll when it comes to steals, as she's now grabbed two or more in the last ten games she's played. Another player making a difference was Jaleya Ford, who scored eight points along with five steals and five blocks.
Lamar has traveled a rocky road recently having lost six of their last seven matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 4-14 record this season. As for Lake View, their victory was their fourth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 19-4.
Lamar was dealt a bruising 52-10 defeat at the hands of the Wild Gators in their previous matchup back in January. Can Lamar avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
