The Big Sandy Wildcats will be playing in front of their home fans against the Harleton Wildcats at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Both teams took a loss in their last game, so they'll have plenty of motivation to get the 'W'.
Big Sandy unfortunately witnessed the end of their three-game winning streak on Friday. They fell to McLeod 51-47. While losing is never fun, Big Sandy can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Texas basketball rankings (they are ranked 1144th, while the Longhorns are ranked 524th).
The loss doesn't tell the whole story though, as several players had good games. One of the most active was Adrian Petty-johnson, who scored 16 points along with seven rebounds and three steals. Trey Coleman was another key contributor, scoring 13 points along with four steals.
Meanwhile, Harleton came up short against the Rebels on Friday and fell 30-23. Harleton has now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.
Big Sandy's loss dropped their record down to 11-14. As for Harleton, they have been struggling recently as they've lost 13 of their last 16 games, which put a noticeable dent in their 7-18 record this season.
Big Sandy couldn't quite finish off the Wildcats in their previous meeting back in January and fell 65-62. Will Big Sandy have more luck at home instead of on the road? Check back here after the action for a full breakdown and analysis of the contest.
