Vista Grande had to hit the road for their first game, and unfortunately the road hit them back. They were given a punishing 13-55 loss at the hands of Sahuaro.
Vista Grande got a solid performance out of senior Eddie Villegas, who accumulated 140 passing yards and picked up 39 yards on the ground; unfortuately, it just wasn't enough for the win. This was the first contest for both squads, starting they off on the wrong foot at 0-1, while giving Sahuaro a 1-0 record.
Next week, Vista Grande take on Amphitheater at 7:00 PM. As for Sahuaro, they will face of against Buena.
