The Trinity Christian Warriors can now show off nine landslide victories after their most recent matchup on Thursday. They breezed by Wickenburg Christian Academy at home to the tune of 56-19. The win was nothing new for Trinity Christian as they're now sitting on three straight.
When it comes to explaining why Wickenburg Christian Academy lost, one person who can't be blamed is Evan Gustin. Despite the final result, he scored 12 points along with four steals.
Trinity Christian's victory was their 11th straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 11-4. They've been dominating during the matchups in that stretch too, as they've won by an average of 28.55 points. As for Wickenburg Christian Academy, their loss ended a five-game streak of away wins dating back to last season and brought them to 7-1.
Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Trinity Christian won't have much time to rest: their next game is against BASIS - Prescott at 7:00 p.m. on January 12th. BASIS - Prescott will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Arizona Rankings (they are ranked 275th, while Trinity Christian is ranked 81st). As for Wickenburg Christian Academy, they will be playing at home against Orme at 4:00 p.m. on Saturday. Hopefully Orme focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 16 on Thursday.
