Raymond Central is 0-5 against Yutan since December of 2014 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Tuesday. The Raymond Central Mustangs will head out on the road to face off against the Yutan Chieftains. Raymond Central comes in still looking for their first win of the season.
It's never fun to lose, and it's even less fun to lose 72-30, which was the final score in Raymond Central's tilt against Malcolm on Saturday. While losing is never fun, Raymond Central can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Nebraska basketball rankings (they are ranked 256th, while Malcolm is ranked 73rd).
Meanwhile, Yutan's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Friday after their third straight loss. They fell just short of Conestoga by a score of 26-23. The result shouldn't come as a shock considering that's the fewest points Yutan has scored all season.
Raymond Central's defeat was their fifth straight on the road dating back to last season, which bumped their record down to 0-6. Those losses could be blamed on the team's offensive performance across that stretch, as they only averaged 27.6 points per game. As for Yutan, they now have a losing record at 2-3.
Raymond Central suffered a grim 65-40 defeat to Yutan in their previous matchup back in December of 2022. Thankfully for Raymond Central, Nolan Timm (who scored 24 points) won't be suiting up this time. Will that be enough to change the final result? Check MaxPreps.com after the match to find out.
