The Goodwin Tech Gladiators suffered their biggest defeat yet this season on Thursday. They were dealt a 94-56 defeat at the hands of Cheney RVT. Goodwin Tech has struggled against Cheney RVT recently, as their matchup on Thursday was their ninth consecutive lost matchup.
It was another big night for Dam'nic Gittens, who dropped a double-double on 37 points and 13 rebounds for Cheney RVT. Gittens also posted eight assists for the first time this season. Another player making a difference was J'Roose Orbe, who scored eight points along with ten steals.
Goodwin Tech's loss dropped their record down to 6-5. As for Cheney RVT, the win (which was their ninth in a row) raised their record to 11-2.
Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Goodwin Tech will take on Prince RVT at 5:30 p.m. on Friday. Prince RVT is hoping to put an end to a four-game streak of away losses. As for Cheney RVT, their homestand continues as they prepare to take on Vinal RVT at 6:30 p.m. on January 26th. Vinal RVT comes in still looking for their first win of the season.
