After two games on the road, Medford Tech is heading back home. They will be home for the holidays to greet the Westampton Tech Panthers at 6:30 p.m. on Wednesday. Hopefully Medford Tech focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 20 on Saturday.
Last Saturday, everything came up roses for Medford Tech on the road against Williamstown as the squad secured a 99-46 victory.
Tre Powell was a one-man wrecking crew for Medford Tech as he scored 35 points along with six rebounds and six steals. Tyler Branson was another key contributor, scoring 16 points along with five rebounds and four steals.
Meanwhile, Westampton Tech's 21-7 record from last season is now well into the rear view mirror after another tough outing. They were beaten by Burlington Township 77-45 on Monday. Westampton Tech has now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.
Westampton Tech's loss shouldn't obscure the performances of Shakur Anderson, who scored 14 points along with seven rebounds, and Dante Horace who scored eight points. Anderson is absolutely dominating the block category: he's posted at least two every time he's taken the court this season.
Medford Tech's victory bumped their record up to 2-0. As for Westampton Tech, they now have a losing record at 1-2.
Medford Tech ended up a good deal behind Westampton Tech in their previous meeting back in January, losing 73-55. Can Medford Tech avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
