The Parker Thundering Herd won the last time they faced the Carver Birmingham Rams, and things went their way on Thursday too. Parker walked away with a 56-48 win over Carver Birmingham. Given Parker's advantage in MaxPreps' Alabama basketball rankings (they are ranked 36th, while Carver Birmingham is ranked 157th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
Parker was led to victory by Jaydon White and Mykell Echols. White scored 17 points, while Echols scored 20 points. Echols continues to roll, besting his previous point total in each of the last four games he's played. Miles Brison was another key contributor, scoring seven points.
Parker's win was their fifth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 13-5. Those victories were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 65.0 points per game. As for Carver Birmingham, their loss dropped their record down to 10-9.
Parker will finish 2023 at home by hosting Carver Birmingham at 1:30 p.m. on Thursday. Carver Birmingham will wrap up 2023 with a road trip to face off against Parker at 1:30 p.m.
