The Ruidoso Warriors will face off against the Sandia Prep Sundevils at 3:00 p.m. on Monday. The two teams are strolling into their contests after big wins in their previous games.
Ruidoso gave up the first runs on Tuesday, but they didn't let that get them down. Everything went their way against East Mountain as they made off with a 16-1 victory. Considering the Warriors have won 16 matches by more than six runs this season, Tuesday's blowout was nothing new.

Talyn Ramos was incredible, getting on base in all three of her plate appearances with five stolen bases, two runs, and one double. Those five stolen bases gave her a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Mea Trujillo, who went 2-for-3 with two stolen bases, three RBI, and one run.
Ruidoso kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 12 hits. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now got at least eight hits in six consecutive games.
Meanwhile, winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Sandia Prep). They were the clear victors by a 20-6 margin over East Mountain on Thursday. The win was a breath of fresh air for the Sundevils as it put an end to their five-game losing streak.
The team relied heavily on Ozzi Rockey, who got on base in four of her five plate appearances with two stolen bases, two runs, and two RBI. Another player making a difference was Mary Otero, who went a perfect 4-for-4 with two runs and two RBI.
The victory was their first on the road , bumping their record up to 4-16. As for Ruidoso, their win bumped their record up to 18-4.
Sandia Prep's pitching crew has a crucial task ahead of them: Ruidoso has been making plenty of contact this season, having averaged 9.8 hits per game. It's a different story for Sandia Prep, though, as they've been averaging 12.8 hits. Given Ruidoso's sizable advantage in that area, the Sundevils will need to find a way to close that gap.
Ruidoso took their victory against Sandia Prep in their previous meeting two weeks ago by a conclusive 21-4 score. Do the Warriors have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Sundevils turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
