The Forrest County Agricultural Aggies will challenge the Pass Christian Pirates at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday. The teams are on pretty different trajectories at the moment (Forrest County Agricultural has three straight victories, Pass Christian has three straight defeats), but none of that matters once you're on the field.
Forrest County Agricultural will bounce into Saturday's match after beating Greene County, who they had gone 2-7 against in their nine prior meetings. Forrest County Agricultural came out on top against Greene County by a score of 9-5 on Friday. While the Aggies didn't have the best season last year (they finished 11-15), it's starting to look like those struggles are a thing of the past.
Ethan Norman made a splash while hitting and pitching. He tossed 4.1 innings while giving up three earned runs off three hits. What's more, he posted three strikeouts, the most he's had since back in March of 2024. He was also big at the plate, scoring a run while going 2-for-3. He also put up two doubles, which were his first of the season.

In other batting news, Lee Roberts III was incredible, going 1-for-3 with one home run and four RBI. The dominant performance gave him a new career-high in RBI. Another player making a difference was Preston Anderson, who scored two runs while going 3-for-4.
Forrest County Agricultural always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .545. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Greene County only posted an OBP of .378.
Meanwhile, Saturday just wasn't the day for Pass Christian's offense. They lost 13-0 to Picayune on Saturday. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest loss the Pirates have suffered against the Maroon Tide since February 21, 2020.
Forrest County Agricultural's win was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 5-2. Those victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 3.0 runs on average over those games. As for Pass Christian, their defeat dropped their record down to 1-6.
Forrest County Agricultural beat Pass Christian 8-4 in their previous matchup back in March of 2024. Will Forrest County Agricultural repeat their success, or does Pass Christian have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
