After flying high against the Little Miami Panthers last Monday, the Milford Eagles came back down to earth. Milford took a 48-38 hit to the loss column at the hands of Lebanon on Monday. Milford was given a dose of their own medicine in this game as Lebanon apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in December of 2023.
Despite the defeat, Milford saw an underclassman step up: Gabby Chadwell scored 20 points along with nine rebounds and three blocks. That's the first time this season that Chadwell pulled down eight or more rebounds. Cayden Smith was another key contributor, scoring nine points.
Milford's loss dropped their record down to 13-6. As for Lebanon, they have been performing well recently as they've won 11 of their last 13 contests, which provided a nice bump to their 16-5 record this season.
Milford will head out on the road to square off against Turpin at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday. The timing isn't great for Turpin: they have been struggling with three straight losses at home, while Milford has snatched up three consecutive wins on the road. Lebanon will take on Little Miami at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday. Little Miami will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Ohio Rankings (they are ranked 318th, while Lebanon is ranked 45th).
