Byers put their dominant pitcher on display in the team's fourth consecutive shutout on Friday. Their pitcher stepped up to hand the Burlington Cougars a 10-0 shutout. Considering the Bulldogs have won four contests by more than nine runs this season, Friday's blowout was nothing new.

The team relied heavily on Carson Gaudot, who scored two runs and stole two bases while going 2-for-2. The dominant performance also gave him a new career-high in RBI (two). Parker Ebert was another key player, scoring a run and stealing two bases while going 2-for-2.

Byers always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .577. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Burlington only posted an OBP of .059.

Byers pushed their record up to 4-1 with the win, which was their third straight at home.

Coming up, Byers will square off against SkyView Academy at 3:30 p.m. on Monday. As for Burlington, they will be playing at home against Akron at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday. Akron will roll in looking for their fifth straight victory, something Burlington surely won't give up without a fight.
