The Kohler Blue Bombers will face off against the Ozaukee Warriors at 5:00 p.m. on Monday. Kohler knows how to get runs on the board -- the team has finished with ten runs or more in their past four matchups -- so hopefully Ozaukee likes a good challenge.
Kohler is headed in fresh off scoring the most runs they have all season. Their pitchers stepped up to hand Sevastopol a 14-0 shutout on Friday. The Blue Bombers might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won eight games by seven runs or more this season.
Kaden Harrington made a splash while hitting and pitching. He looked comfortable on the mound, tossing two innings while giving up no earned runs off two hits. He has been nothing but reliable: he hasn't given up more than two hits in four consecutive appearances. He was also solid in the batter's box, going 1-for-2 with one run and one RBI.

In other batting news, Collin Thorne was incredible, going a perfect 4-for-4 with four RBI and one double. Those four hits gave him a new career-high. Zane Willadsen was another key player, going a perfect 2-for-2 with three RBI, one stolen base, and one run.
Kohler always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .538. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Sevastopol only posted an OBP of .391.
Meanwhile, Ozaukee suffered their closest loss since April 25, 2024 on Saturday. They fell just short of Dominican by a score of 11-9. The Warriors have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.
Like Kohler, Ozaukee also got a great game from a two-way player: Mason Schroeder. He tossed five innings while giving up just one earned (and five unearned) runs off five hits. Schroeder was also big at the plate, getting on base in four of his five plate appearances with two runs and one RBI. He has become a key player for Ozaukee: the team is 2-1 when he posts at least two runs, but 3-6 otherwise.
In other batting news, Jackson Szydel made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and got on base in four of his five plate appearances with two runs and one stolen base. Another player making a difference was Stryker Bartels, who got on base in four of his five plate appearances with one run and one RBI.
Kohler has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won nine of their last ten contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 13-5 record this season. The wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 9.5 runs over those games. As for Ozaukee, their defeat dropped their record down to 5-7.
The pitchers for both teams better look sharp on Monday as neither team is afraid to steal. Kohler has been swiping bases left and right this season, having averaged 3.9 stolen bases per game. However, it's not like Ozaukee struggles in that department as they've been averaging 2.9 stolen bases. The only question left is which team can snag more.
Kohler beat Ozaukee 9-5 when the teams last played back in May of 2024. Do the Blue Bombers have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Warriors turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
