Dexter dropped down to 3-3 on Monday, ending the team's three-game streak of wins. They lost 10-0 to the Jackson Fighting Indians. If the Bearcats were looking for revenge after losing 12-1 to the Fighting Indians when the teams met back in May of 2025, then they'll just have to keep looking.
As for Jackson, the win keeps them at an undefeated 6-0. Fans of they have seen this all before: every one of the games they've played this season has ended in a blowout of 6+ runs.
For Jackson's part, Carter Shipman tossed a big game, not allowing a single earned run and allowing only one hit while striking out 11 over five innings pitched.
At the plate, Jackson got a massive performance out of Keegan Brueggeman, who went 2-for-4 with three RBI, two runs, and one double. The team also got some help courtesy of Grant Brown, who got on base in all four of his plate appearances with two runs and two RBI.
Coming up, Dexter will challenge Portageville at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Jackson, they will square off against Farmington at 4:30 p.m. on Wednesday.
