The Hedley Owls can finally bid farewell to their four-game losing streak thanks to their game on Friday. They walked away with a 38-28 victory over Chillicothe. The win was just what Hedley needed coming off of a 73-23 defeat in their prior contest.
Hedley found their leader in underclassman Maddie Moore, who scored 21 points along with 5 steals and 3 blocks. That makes it two consecutive games in which Moore has scored at least 25% of Hedley's points. The team also got some help courtesy of Ashlee Holmes, who scored 10 points along with 3 steals.
Hedley pushed their record up to 2-9 with that victory, which was their third straight at home. As for Chillicothe, they have traveled a rocky road recently, as they've lost three of their last four games, which put a noticeable dent in their 3-3 record this season.
Hedley will be playing in front of their home fans against Memphis on Saturday. As for Chillicothe, they will head out on the road to face off against Northside at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Northside comes in on a streak of failing to score more than 20 points in their last three games, a trend the team is of course eager to reverse.
