The Vandegrift Vipers put another one in the bag on Friday to keep their undefeated season alive. They took their matchup at home with ease, bagging a 58-0 victory over Cedar Ridge. Fans of Vandegrift have seen this all before: every one of the games they've played this season ended as a blowout.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Vandegrift to victory, but perhaps none more so than Deuce Adams, who threw for 111 yards and three touchdowns while completing 81.3% of his passes. The team also got some help courtesy of Miles Coleman, who picked up 42 receiving yards and two touchdowns.
Vandegrift's victory was their seventh straight at home (dating back to last season), bumping their overall record up to 8-0. As for Cedar Ridge, they are on a five-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 2-6.
Vandegrift will head out on the road to face off against Vista Ridge at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Vista Ridge will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Texas Rankings (they are ranked 167th, while Vandegrift is ranked ninth). As for Cedar Ridge, they will look to defend their home field on Friday against Round Rock at 7:00 p.m.
