The Lopez Lobos will head out on the road to challenge the Pace Vikings at 6:30 p.m. on Friday. Both come into the matchup bolstered by wins in their previous matches.
On Tuesday, Lopez earned a 5-1 win over Rivera. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Lobos.

Chalene Granado made a big impact no matter where she played. She looked comfortable on the mound, not allowing a single earned run while striking out 11 over seven innings pitched. Those 11 strikeouts gave her a new career-high. She was also solid in the batter's box, earning one RBI, two runs, and one stolen base.
In other batting news, Ferni Pulido was excellent, going 1-for-2 with one stolen base, one run, and one double. Brizeyda Salinas also deserves some recognition as she snagged her first stolen base of the season.
Meanwhile, Pace hadn't done well against Edcouch-Elsa recently (they were 2-7 in their previous nine matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Tuesday. The Vikings blew past the Yellowjackets 13-7. The result was nothing new for the Vikings, who have now won six contests by six runs or more so far this season.
Like Lopez, Pace also got a great game from a two-way player: Nubia Alvarado. On the mound, she struck out 12 batters over seven innings while giving up six earned (and one unearned) runs off four hits. Alvarado has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't tossed less than six strikeouts in six consecutive appearances. She was even better at the plate, firing off two home runs, seven RBI, and four runs while going 4-for-5.
In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Maya Galvan, who went 2-for-5 with one home run, three RBI, and two runs. The team also got some help courtesy of Sofia Alejandro, who got on base in three of her five plate appearances with one run, one double, and one RBI.
Pace kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 15 hits. That's the most hits they've managed all season.
Lopez's record now sits at 6-2-1. As for Pace, their record is now 8-1.
Friday's game might come down to which pitcher can control the ball better. Lopez has hit smart this season, having averaged an OBP of .467. However, it's not like Pace struggles in that department as they've averaged .475. With both teams so capable at the plate, fans should be ready for an impressive hitting performance.
Lopez beat Pace 11-7 in their previous matchup back in April of 2025. Will the Lobos repeat their success, or do the Vikings have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
