Baseball Recap: Wakulla Christian School Wins Going Away Against Malone

Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Wakulla Christian School). They were the clear victor by an 18-7 margin over the Malone Tigers on Monday. With that victory, the Saints brought their scoring average up to 6.2 runs per game.

Wakulla Christian School let Kory Paynter and Blaise Foulks run wild. Paynter scored two runs while going 1-for-3, while Foulks scored two runs while going 1-for-3. What's more, Paynter posted three RBI, the most he's had since back in March of 2024. Another player making a difference was Jackson Lawhon, who scored a run while going 1-for-3.

Wakulla Christian School always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .556. The team's really been improving in that area: they've now improved their OBP total in three consecutive matchups.

The win got Wakulla Christian School back to even at 2-2. As for Malone, their loss was their first of the season and makes their record 2-1.
