After losing to the Hilton Head Island Seahawks the last time they met, the Hampton County Hurricanes decided to demonstrate that turnabout is fair play. Hampton County managed a 47-43 win over Hilton Head Island on Tuesday. The victory made it back-to-back wins for Hampton County.
Despite the loss, Hilton Head Island still got an impressive performance from Amaya Wroten, who scored 21 points along with 8 rebounds and 4 steals. Wroten scored a full 48.8% of Hilton Head Island's points, the second time in a row she's earned more than a third of the team's points. Another player making a difference was Leah Jackson, who scored 7 points along with 11 rebounds and 3 steals.
The victory got Hampton County back to even at 3-3. As for Hilton Head Island, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 2-4.
Hampton County will look to defend their home court on Saturday against Colleton County at 4:00 p.m. As for Hilton Head Island, they will head out on the road to face off against Bradwell Institute at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Bradwell Institute is currently enjoying a perfect season and no doubt want to keep things rolling.
