The Ganders came out on top against the Spartans by a score of  10-6. The high-scoring performance was a welcome turnaround for the Ganders' hitters, who had struggled in the games prior.
Meanwhile, Red Hook was not able to break out of their rough patch  on Wednesday as the team picked up their fourth straight  loss. They were a single  run away from ending the streak, but they lost  a   9-8 heartbreaker at the hands of Marlboro Central.
  Karl Russell was cooking despite his team's loss,   getting on base  in two of his four plate appearances with three  runs and one  stolen base.
