The Berryhill Chiefs will head out on the road to take on the Cleveland Tigers at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Hopefully Berryhill focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 16 on Tuesday.
Last Tuesday, Berryhill beat Bristow 65-54. The victory was just what Berryhill needed coming off of a 63-32 defeat in their prior match.
Peyton Wolf and Kameron Simpson were among the main playmakers for Berryhill as the former scored 15 points and the latter scored 16 points along with three steals. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Simpson has scored all season. Zhacari Jackson was another key contributor, scoring 12 points along with four steals.
Meanwhile, Cleveland's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Tuesday after their fifth straight loss. They were dealt a 69-30 defeat at the hands of Mannford. Cleveland has struggled against Mannford recently, as their game on Tuesday was their seventh consecutive lost matchup.
Berryhill's victory bumped their record up to 8-15. As for Cleveland, they dropped their record down to 4-15 with that defeat, which was their eighth straight on the road dating back to last season.
Berryhill took their win against Cleveland when the teams last played back in January by a conclusive 64-40. The rematch might be a little tougher for Berryhill since the squad won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
