Given their disadvantage in the MaxPreps state rankings, Fairfield should expect quite the challenge on Friday. They will take on Solon at 7:30 PM. Solon will be strutting in after a win while Fairfield will be stumbling in from a loss.
Last Friday, Fairfield came up short against Washington, falling 14-24.
Meanwhile, Solon put the finishing touches on their 5th blowout victory of the season. They steamrollered Keokuk 57-6. The victory was familiar territory for Solon, who now have eight in a row.
Fairfield took a serious blow against Solon the last time the two teams met, falling 0-43. Can Fairfield avenge their defeat, or is history doomed to repeat itself ? We'll soon find out.
