The Barringer Blue Bears will head out on the road to square off against the American History Bald Eagles at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday. Barringer is hoping to put an end to a four-game streak of away losses.
Barringer suffered their biggest loss yet this season on Tuesday. They were beaten by Science Park 48-7. The result shouldn't come as a shock considering that's the fewest points Barringer has scored all season.
Meanwhile, American History was able to grind out a solid victory over McNair Academic on Tuesday, taking the game 32-20. The win was just what American History needed coming off of a 59-20 defeat in their prior matchup.
Erica Lawson continued her habit of posting crazy stat lines, dropping a double-double on 15 points and 11 steals. That's the first time this season that she scored 15 or more points. The team also got some help courtesy of Ashiyah Holliman, who scored six points along with 12 rebounds and five steals.
Barringer's loss dropped their record down to 1-8. As for American History, they have been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five matches, which provided a nice bump to their 9-4 record this season.
Barringer came up short against American History in their previous meeting back in February of 2023, falling 40-33. Can Barringer avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
