The Ridgewood Rebels will face off against the Bartlett Hawks at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday. Both teams took a loss in their last game, so they'll have plenty of motivation to get the 'W'.
On Tuesday, Ridgewood didn't have quite enough to beat Fenton and fell 7-6.
Angelo Vitale was huge while hitting and pitching even without the win. On the mound, he tossed two innings while giving up no earned runs or hits. He has been nothing but reliable: he hasn't given up more than two walks in 11 consecutive appearances. He was also solid in the batter's box, getting on base in three of his four plate appearances with one stolen base and one RBI.

In other batting news, Kyle Szewczyk made the most of his time in the batter's box despite the final result and got on base in three of his four plate appearances with two runs, one triple, and one RBI. He has become a key player for Ridgewood: the team is 5-2 when he posts at least two runs, but 9-12 otherwise. Frankie Barcas was another key player, going 1-for-4 with three RBI and one run.
Meanwhile, Bartlett came up short against Stevenson on Wednesday and fell 6-1. The Hawks have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.
Bartlett saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Josh Colaizzi, who went 2-for-4 with one double.
Ridgewood's loss dropped their record down to 14-14. As for Bartlett, their defeat dropped their record down to 19-10.
The batters for both teams will have to hit smart on Thursday as both have some strikeout artists on the roster. Ridgewood has been retiring batters left and right this season, having averaged 7.1 strikeouts per game. However, it's not like Bartlett struggles in that department as they've been averaging 8.6 strikeouts. Considering how easily both teams rack up Ks, the hitters on both teams better bring their A-game into this one.
Ridgewood might still be hurting after the 7-1 loss they got from Bartlett in their previous meeting back in May of 2025. Will the Rebels have more luck at home instead of on the road? Check back here after the action for a full breakdown and analysis of the contest.
