4A District 3 recap October 1, 2013
Wagoner was able to crack the Top 25 in the state rankings this week after defeating Catoosa. The Bulldogs came in at 25 in the state poll after placing at number 26 last week.
Wagoner added to the longest winning streak in 4A District 3 this week by beating the Indians, 35-20. This was the team's fourth consecutive win.
Joshua Jacobs was a beast in the backfield as McLain Science & Tech defeated Miami.
Jacobs provided a threat through the air and on the ground as the Titans bested the Wardogs.
Sawyer Pooler threw for 161 yards and 3 touchdowns. He was 12-20 with 1 interception.
Pooler put up the best numbers through the air as Miami fell to McLain Science & Tech. Pooler's favorite target this week was Ty Mercer, who caught 6 passes for 80 yards.
5-foot-11 quarterback Pooler of James Cheatham's team is the league leader in passing yards this season with 576. He has also thrown 10 touchdowns. The leading receiver in the league this season is Tyler Myles. The Cleveland star has 13 catches for 230 yards.
