The Abingdon/Avon Tornadoes won the last time they faced the Lewistown Indians, and things went their way on Tuesday, too. Abingdon/Avon was able to grind out a solid win over Lewistown, winning 48-41. The victory was familiar territory for the Tornadoes, who now have five in a row.
Abingdon/Avon's win brought them up to 20-6. Lewistown's overall record fell to 11-15.
Abingdon/Avon will square off against Havana Friday. Havana took a loss in their last contest and are no doubt out to reverse Abingdon/Avon's good fortune. As for Lewistown, they will go up against Astoria/VIT Friday. It might come down to the wire as the MaxPreps rankings project a close matchup.
