The Aztecs will look to defend their home field against the Falcons at 3:00 p.m. La Quinta is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 7.1 runs per game this season.
La Quinta barely beat Estancia the last time the pair played, but that sure wasn't the case this time around. The Aztecs' pitcher stepped up to hand the Eagles a 15-0 shutout on Friday. The Aztecs haven't had any issues with the Eagles recently, as the game was their eighth consecutive win against them.
The result came thanks to Julainy Castanon's shutout, as she gave up just two hits and racked up six Ks.

At the plate, the team relied heavily on Tiffany Lai, who scored three runs and stole a base while getting on base in all three of her plate appearances. Those three runs gave her a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Queenie Luong, who scored a run and stole a base while going 3-for-3.
La Quinta always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .514. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Estancia only posted an OBP of .167.
Meanwhile, after a string of six wins, Santa Ana Valley's good fortune finally ran out on Friday. They fell just short of Orange by a score of 7-6.
Valeria Gomez was cooking despite her team's loss, going 1-for-3 with three RBI, one triple, and one stolen base. She is on a roll when it comes to stolen bases, as she's now snagged at least one in each of the last three games she's played. Another player making a difference was Yareli Sanchez, who went 2-for-3 with one triple and one stolen base.
La Quinta's victory bumped their record up to 5-7. As for Santa Ana Valley, their loss was their first in the league, dropping their league record down to 5-1 and their overall record down to 9-3.
