The Tocoi Creek Toros''s game two weeks ago was a tough loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Friday. They pulled ahead with a 29-28 photo finish over Flagler Palm Coast.
Tocoi Creek can attribute much of their success to Ryan Killmer, who threw for 197 yards and two touchdowns, and also punched in a touchdown on the ground. Julio Santiago did his part to keep the secondary busy, picking up 107 receiving yards.
Despite the loss, Flagler Palm Coast still got an impressive performance from Marcus Mitchell, who rushed for 207 yards while picking up 7.7 yards per carry. Mitchell hasn't dropped below 100 rushing yards for three straight games. Caden Gonzalez was another key contributor, throwing for 195 yards and three touchdowns on only 18 passes.
Tocoi Creek is on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four matches, which provided a nice bump to their 5-4 record this season. As for Flagler Palm Coast, they have traveled a rocky road recently, as they've lost five of their last six contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 3-6 record this season.

As for Flagler Palm Coast, their homestand continues as they prepare to take on DeLand at 7:00 p.m. on November 3rd. DeLand presents a significant challenge as they come into the match much higher ranked than Flagler Palm Coast in Florida (DeLand is ranked 34th, while Flagler Palm Coast is ranked 180th).
