The Nease Panthers will head out on the road to face off against the Beachside Barracudas at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Nease is hoping to put an end to a three-game streak of away losses.
While it was all tied up 15-15 at halftime, Nease was not quite St. Augustine's equal in the second half on Friday. Nease took a 43-37 hit to the loss column at the hands of St. Augustine.
Nease's loss shouldn't obscure the performances of Bryson Utter, who scored 15 points, and Jack Sullivan who scored ten points.
Beachside suffered their biggest loss yet this season on Thursday. They had to suffer through a rough 75-39 loss at the hands of Tocoi Creek. Beachside has not had much luck with Tocoi Creek recently, as the team's come up short the last three times they've met.
Nease's defeat dropped their record down to 9-9. As for Beachside, they have traveled a rocky road recently, as they've lost seven of their last nine matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 7-9 record this season.
Nease strolled past Beachside in their previous matchup back in January of 2023 by a score of 64-48. The rematch might be a little tougher for Nease since the squad won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
