Camden Catholic has gone a perfect 7-0 against Winslow Township recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Monday. The Fighting Irish will be playing in front of their home fans against the Eagles at 3:45 p.m. Both come into the matchup bolstered by wins in their previous matches.
Camden Catholic is headed in fresh off scoring the most runs they have all season. They walked away with a 7-4 win over Holy Cross on Thursday. The victory was a breath of fresh air for the Fighting Irish as it put an end to their ten-game losing streak.
Chase Wolk made a splash while hitting and pitching. He pitched seven innings while giving up four earned runs off six hits. Wolk was also solid in the batter's box, going 2-for-3 with two RBI and one run. Those two RBI gave him a new career-high.
Wolk wasn't the only one making solid contact as six players wound up with at least one hit. One of them was Sean Wiltsey, who went 1-for-2 with one stolen base and two RBI. Those two RBI gave Wiltsey a new career-high. John Ladner also deserves some recognition as he snagged his first stolen base of the season.
Meanwhile, after low-scoring totals in their previous six contest, Winslow Township brought some dynamite into their most recent game. Everything went their way against Woodbury on Thursday as they made off with a 20-11 win. Considering the Eagles' hitters had been struggling lately, the high-scoring outing was a much-needed turnaround.
Like Camden Catholic, Winslow Township also got a great game from a two-way player: Aiden Rivera. Throwing, Rivera pitched two innings while giving up just one earned run off two hits. Meanwhile, LJ Robinson struck out eight batters over 4.2 innings while giving up four earned (and six unearned) runs off four hits. Rivera has become a key player for Winslow Township: the team is 2-1 when he allows at most one earned run, but 2-9 otherwise. At bat, Rivera got on base in all six of his plate appearances with four runs, one stolen base, and two RBI, while Robinson went 2-for-4 with three runs, two RBI, and one double.
In other batting news, Winslow Township got a massive performance out of Victor Rivera-Pagan, who went 3-for-5 with four runs, two stolen bases, and two RBI. The Eagles are 4-2 when Rivera-Pagan posts two or more runs, but 0-8 otherwise. The team also got some help courtesy of Tristan Peou-Pang, who went 2-for-5 with four RBI, two doubles, and one stolen base.
The victory was their first on the road, bumping their record up to 4-10. As for Camden Catholic, their win bumped their record up to 2-20.
Camden Catholic got the 'W' in their previous meeting back in April of 2025 against Winslow Township by a conclusive 18-0 score. Will the Fighting Irish repeat their success, or do the Eagles have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
