The Luther Cougars suffered their biggest defeat yet this season on Wednesday. They were outmatched by Varsity Opponent on the road and fell 114-55. Luther has not had much luck with Varsity Opponent recently, as the team's come up short the last four times they've met.
Several Cougars players turned in solid performances, despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Lenny Cruz, who scored 13 points. Tristan Elcock was another key contributor, scoring nine points along with five rebounds and five steals.
Luther's defeat dropped their record down to 10-9. As for Varsity Opponent, their victory bumped their record up to 299-1148-2.
Luther will look to defend their home court on Tuesday against Knox at 6:00 p.m. As for Varsity Opponent, they will head out on the road to face off against Oakhaven at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
