On Friday Living Word Lutheran take on Parkview at 7:00 PM. Living Word Lutheran don't have the home-field advantage, but they do enjoy an advantage in the MaxPreps rankings.
After having lost a blowout in their contest two weeks ago against Lake Country Lutheran, Living Word Lutheran were happy to find some success last Saturday. Living Word Lutheran came out on top against University School of Milwaukee by a score of 27-13 last Saturday. No one put up better numbers for Living Word Lutheran than senior MJ Woods, who brought his A game into the match. He rushed for 131 yards and 4 touchdowns. Woods has now scored at least one touchdown in the past eight games.
Meanwhile, things haven't been easy for Parkview, and their matchup last Friday only extended their streak of losses to seven. They suffered a grim 14-48 defeat to Palmyra-Eagle. Parkview were in a tough position by the half, with the score sitting at 6-34.
Living Word Lutheran's victory lifted them to 6-2 while Parkview's loss dropped them down to 0-7. The Living Word Lutheran defense got after the quarterback against University School of Milwaukee to the tune of four sacks, so Parkview's offensive line better have put in some good practice this past week in preparation for the match.
