On the other side of the ball, a lot of the credit has to go to Gaither's defense and their six sacks. The heavy lifting was done by Curtis Williams and Jaron Gunn, who racked up four sacks between them. Antonio Henley was another major factor on D, picking up a sack and making two total tackles in addition to snagging an interception which he returned one-yard for a touchdown.
Springstead's victory bumped their record up to 6-0. As for Gaither, their win bumped their record up to 4-2.
