Weequahic lost despite a true team effort on the offense, the best among them being Tyhir Barlow, who scored 19 points along with two steals. That was a full 38% of Weequahic's points, marking the third time in a row he's earned more than a third of the team's points. Hekeimu Williams was another key contributor, scoring seven points along with five rebounds and two steals.
Weequahic's loss dropped their record down to 3-7. As for Bloomfield, their victory bumped their record up to 5-7.
Weequahic won't have much time to rest: their next game is against Varsity Opponent on January 16th. One thing working in Varsity Opponent's favor is that they have posted big point totals in their last six contests. As for Bloomfield, they will face off against Columbia at 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
