Softball Recap: Cedar Grove Extends Winning Streak to Four

Cedar Grove had already won three in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 10.7 runs) and they went ahead and made it four on Saturday. Their pitchers stepped up to hand the Nutley Maroon Raiders a 10-0 shutout. The Panthers might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won 14 contests by six runs or more this season.

Cedar Grove pushed their record up to 17-2 with the victory, which was their third straight at home. The home wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 0.7 runs on average over those games. As for Nutley, their loss dropped their record down to 10-7.
