The Gilead Christian Eagles scored the most points they've had all season to find success on Friday. They took down Faith Christian Academy 61-42. The victory was just what Gilead Christian needed coming off of a 68-31 loss in their prior matchup.
It was another big night for Talan Blankenship, who scored 20 points. Another player making a difference was Denim Myers, who almost dropped a double-double on nine points and 12 rebounds.
Gilead Christian has been performing well recently as they've won ten of their last 12 matches, which provided a nice bump to their 13-4 record this season. As for Faith Christian Academy, they still haven't won a game yet this season and fell to 0-4.
Gilead Christian won't have much time to rest: their next contest is against the Hawks at 7:30 p.m. on January 27th. As for Faith Christian Academy, they will head out on the road to challenge the Eagles at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Kingsway Christian is on a five-game streak of home losses, the a four-game streak of away losses (dating back to last season), but someone's luck is about to change.
