The Franklin County Tech Eagles waltzed into their contest on Monday with eight straight wins but they left with nine. They came out on top against Montachusett RVT by a score of 48-41.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Franklin County Tech to victory, but perhaps none more so than Lea Chapman, who dropped a double-double on 13 points and 17 rebounds. Chapman has been hot recently, having posted eight or more rebounds the last four times she's played. Hannah Gilbert was another key contributor, scoring 15 points along with nine rebounds and five steals.
Franklin County Tech's win was their 12th straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 13-2. Those victories were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 51.3 points per game. As for Montachusett RVT, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-4.
Franklin County Tech will head out on the road to take on Ware at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Montachusett RVT, they won't have much time to rest: their next matchup is against Francis Parker Charter Essential School at 6:30 p.m. on January 30th. Francis Parker Charter Essential School comes in on a streak of failing to score more than 25 points in their last five games, a trend the squad is of course eager to reverse.
