Even though the Blackfoot Broncos scored an imposing 61 points on Friday, the Lewiston Bengals still came out on top. Lewiston had just enough and edged Blackfoot out 63-61.
Several Broncos players turned in solid performances, despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Dax Whitney, who scored 16 points along with 5 rebounds. The team also got some help courtesy of Austin Arave, who scored 19 points.
The victory got Lewiston back to even at 1-1. As for Blackfoot, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 0-2.
Lewiston won't have much time to rest: their next matchup is against Bishop Kelly. Blackfoot's road trip will continue as they head out to face Borah at 6:30 p.m. on December 2nd.
