After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Karns, Knox Central was happy to have turned things around on Tuesday. Their pitcher stepped up to hand the Lynn Camp Wildcats a 15-0 shutout. The Panthers have seen this before: they got the W the last time they saw the Wildcats, too.
Hayden Melton was incredible, firing off two home runs, three runs, and four RBI while going 3-for-3. Those two home runs gave him a new career-high. John Hobbs was another key player, scoring two runs and stealing three bases while getting on base in all four of his plate appearances.
Knox Central hit smart and finished the game with only two strikeouts. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Lynn Camp struck out seven times.
