The Frontier Falcons are taking a road trip to challenge the Lancaster Legends at 5:30 p.m. on Friday. Frontier will be looking to extend their current four-game winning streak dating back to last season.
On Tuesday, Frontier earned a 9-6 victory over St. Francis.
Chase Porter made a big impact no matter where he played. He looked comfortable on the mound, pitching three innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit. Porter was also big at the plate, going 2-for-4 with one run, one double, and one RBI.
In other batting news, Connor Cox was incredible, getting on base in all four of his plate appearances with two runs and one triple. Another player making a difference was Chris Colling, who went 1-for-3 with one run and one RBI.
Meanwhile, winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Lancaster). They put the hurt on Jamestown with a sharp 19-4 win on Thursday. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Legends.
Ben Swenson looked comfortable as he didn't allow a single earned run over four innings pitched. The dominant performance also gave him a new career-high in strikeouts (four).
At the plate, Michael Falls was a standout: he got on base in four of his six plate appearances with three runs, three RBI, and two doubles. Those two doubles gave him a new career-high. Jackson Sepe also deserves some recognition as he brought in his first RBI of the season.
Lancaster always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .617. That's the best OBP they've posted all season.
Lancaster now has a winning record of 3-2. As for Frontier, their record is now 3-0.
Frontier skirted past Lancaster 11-9 in their previous meeting back in April of 2024. Will the Falcons repeat their success, or do the Legends have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
