After two games on the road, La Grange is heading back home. They will take on The Giddings Buffaloes at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Keep an eye on the score for this one: the pair posted some lofty point totals in their previous games.
Last Friday, everything came up roses for La Grange on the road against Caldwell as the team secured a 53-21 victory. The game was all but wrapped up at the end of the third, by which point La Grange had established a 25 point advantage.
Meanwhile, Giddings' recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Friday after their fifth straight loss. They were just a hair shy of victory and fell 35-34 to Smithville.
The loss doesn't tell the whole story though, as several players had good games. One of the most active was Bryson Mcdaniel, who rushed for 216 yards and two touchdowns while picking up 7.4 yards per carry. Cade Patschke was another key contributor, gaining 109 total yards and two touchdowns.
La Grange's victory lifted them to 3-4 while Giddings' loss dropped them down to 1-6.
Everything went La Grange's way against Giddings in their previous meeting back in October of 2022 as La Grange made off with a 38-14 win. Will La Grange repeat their success, or does Giddings have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
