The Mohall/Lansford/Sherwood Mavericks will face off against the Kidder County Wolves at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The two teams are strolling into their games after big wins in their previous games.

On the defensive side of the ball, a lot of the credit has to go to Mohall/Lansford/Sherwood's defense and their three sacks. The team can thank three different players for their defensive prowess: Werner Oosthuizen, Reese Buynak, and Cale Westerness, who each picked up one sack apiece.
Meanwhile, Kidder County blew past New Salem, posting a 60-30 victory. Considering the Wolves have won six contests by more than 19 points this season, Friday's blowout was nothing new.
Kidder County had a senior duo take command as Mason Whitman rushed for 150 yards and three scores while picking up 7.9 yards per carry and Bryce Larson gained 145 total yards and two touchdowns. Whitman also deserves a shoutout for his performance on D, picking up a sack and making seven total tackles (3.0 for loss). Grady Larson got in on the action as well, converting a pick into a touchdown.
Kidder County didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off two passes before the game was over. Larson picked up that interception and then proceeded to rub salt in the wound by taking it back the other way for a touchdown. He got in on the action too, converting a pick into a touchdown.
Mohall/Lansford/Sherwood's record is now 7-2. As for Kidder County, their record now sits at an identical 7-2.
Friday's matchup might be decided on the ground. Mohall/Lansford/Sherwood has been excellent on the ground this season, having averaged 160.1 rushing yards per game. However, it's not like Kidder County struggles in that department as they've been averaging 257.8 rushing yards. There's a good chance Friday's game turns into a tough fight on the ground.
