On Friday Shiprock take on St. Michael's at 3:00 PM. Shiprock come in off of four low-scoring performances in a row, a trend the squad is obviously eager to reverse.
It's never fun to lose, and it's even less fun to lose 0-49, which was the final score in Shiprock's tilt against Grants last Saturday.
Meanwhile, St. Michael's got themselves on the board against Santa Fe, but Santa Fe never followed suit. St. Michael's were fully in charge, breezing past Santa Fe 41-0. St. Michael's were expected to win, but the margin was definitely larger than the state rankings had forecast.
St. Michael's's win lifted them to 2-3 while Shiprock's loss dropped them down to 0-5. We'll see if St. Michael's' success rolls on or if Shiprock are able to steal their positive momentum.
