Dawson Springs put the hurt on Trigg County with a sharp 83-60 victory on Friday. The score at the end of the third wound up being the final score as Dawson Springs just coasted through the last quarter.
Dawson Springs' win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Rex Blue, who dropped a double-double on 30 points and 12 rebounds. The team also got some help courtesy of Montgomery Johnston, who scored 34 points.
Logan County has traveled a rocky road recently having lost four of their last five contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 11-12 record this season. As for Dawson Springs, their victory was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 14-10.
