Meanwhile, it was a hard-fought contest, but Lincoln East had to settle for a 60-57 loss against the Titans on Saturday. The loss unfortunately continues a disappointing trend for Lincoln East in their matchups with the Titans: they've now lost three in a row.
Lincoln North Star has been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four contests, which provided a nice bump to their 9-7 record this season. As for Lincoln East, they now have a losing record at 8-9.
Lincoln North Star strolled past the Spartans in their previous meeting back in December of 2023 by a score of 66-50. One of the biggest obstacles the team faced in that game was Lincoln East's Quin Weatherholt, who scored 15 points along with six rebounds and two steals.
